Pengaruh gel ekstrak Aloe vera (L.) terhadap proses penyembuhan luka bakar pada mencit (Mus musculus) jantan

Penanganan cedera kulit akibat luka bakar menuntut intervensi terapeutik yang mampu mempercepat regenerasi jaringan sekaligus menekan risiko komplikasi. Potensi sediaan topikal berbasis bahan alam seperti lidah buaya (Aloe vera (L.)) dapat dikembangkan karena kaya akan kandungan senyawa bioaktif. Penelitian eksperimental ini menguji efektivitas gel ekstrak lidah buaya dalam memulihkan luka bakar pada mencit (Mus musculus) jantan. Pengujian menerapkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat kelompok perlakuan: tiga variasi konsentrasi gel (15%, 30%, dan 45%) serta satu kelompok kontrol positif. Parameter evaluasi mencakup sifat fisik gel, meliputi organoleptik, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, dan daya lekat, serta tingkat pemulihan luka yang diukur melalui penyusutan diameter luka selama pengamatan 25 hari. Data kuantitatif dianalisis secara statistik dan deskriptif. Hasil evaluasi fisik mengonfirmasi sediaan gel bersifat homogen, stabil dalam penyimpanan, bertekstur semi-padat, dan berwarna bening kehijauan. Seluruh sediaan uji terbukti memperkecil diameter luka. Namun, konsentrasi 45% mencatatkan persentase kontraksi luka terbesar, melampaui konsentrasi yang lebih rendah maupun kelompok kontrol positif. Sediaan gel ekstrak Aloe vera dengan konsentrasi optimal 45% berpotensi kuat sebagai kandidat sediaan topikal untuk pemulihan luka bakar.
