Jenis burung lokal dan statusnya di Situ Bagendit Kabupaten Garut

Situ Bagendit merupakan sebuah danau wisata alam di Kabupaten Garut yang memiliki status kawasan lindung berdasarkan undang-undang. Sebagai Kawasan lindung Situ Bagendit perlu mempertahankan fungsinya di bidang konservasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari keanekaragaman jenis dan status konservasi burung di Situ Bagendit, Kabupaten Garut. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli sampai Oktober 2023 dengan metode point count. Data yang diambil yaitu jenis dan jumlah burung yang dihitung menggunakan indeks Margalef, Evennes, dan Shannon Wiener. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, semua jenis burung yang ditemukan di area ini berada pada kategori tidak terancam punah berdasarkan IUCN Red List. Kemudian, terdapat dua jenis burung endemis pulau Jawa dan Bali, yaitu Halcyon cyanoventris dan Lonchura leucogastroides. Selain status konservasinya, diketahui pula keanekaragaman jenis burung di Situ Bagendit berada pada kategori rendah hingga sedang dan distribusinya tidak merata berdasarkan perhitungan menggunakan indeks Margalef dan Evenness.
